The Pub was listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Greenall Whitley Bitter and light Mild (E), with Juke Box, darts, football machine, 4 pool tables and snacks. In May 1981 it was a Keg Greenall Whitley pub. By November 1983 it was selling Greenall Whitley Original Bitter which did not last long, but by mid 1985 the Mild and Bitter had changed from Keg to Cask. The pub was refurbished in early 1988 and started selling Davenports Bitter. The pub was listed in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Greenall Whitley Bitter and Davenports Bitter (Electrick Handpump) In July 1997 the pub had been put up for sale but had failed to meet the reserve price. last owners were Admiral Taverns.
