Compact 16th Century two bar free house opposite the village cricket green. There is a small bar in the dining room and a larger main bar in the drinkers side. It has tables in front of the pub and on a grassed area beyond the rear car park. Both bars feature wood floors and paneling. An excellent Thai menu is offered. Free of tie, its regular beer is Greene King IPA. Its changing beer range often features regional brewers. Accommodation is provided in a purpose built block to the rear and consists of nine en-suite bedrooms.
