Re-opened 17July 2026.
This 16th-century former coaching inn is at the heart of village life. The modernised open interior has a spacious L-shaped lounge bar with four hand pumps, two with beer on. There is comfortable table seating and Chesterfield chairs in front of a huge old fireplace containing a log-burning stove. There is an area for dining and a further separate dining room. The pub is reputedly haunted by a friendly ghost called Mary. There is a key in a recess above the lounge fireplace which, if moved, is said to bring bad luck to those concerned. Food is an important part of the pub ethos, but drinkers are very welcome.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
