Formerly a community-owned pub restored to its previous status as an historic ale house in 2017 before being acquired in November 2023 by Pub People Co as part of their pub estate. Is now still a community pub with occasional input for special events from the community association. Two regular and up to four changing guest ales (see Real Ale Finder), meals served all day every day with Pie Night on Tuesdays. Regular entertainment - see Facebook for current events. The Spotted Calf Cafe is adjacent and open 9-5.

Level step free access from the wide car park entrance and a large accessible toilet close by with grab rails (key from bar if locked). Parts of the pub interior are only accessible by steps but the bar and some tables have step free access. The front door is accessed by a slope then a small step but the doorway is narrow. Three medium height steps to access the upper garden; the lower garden is step free. There are steps to the main toilets and there is one Blue Badge car parking space.
