SOX Taproom, Ipsden (South Oxfordshire Brewery Tap Room)

On Monday 5 January 2026 their Facebook page had the following post:

"Calling time at the current venue for SOX !

We are very sorry to report that we are calling last orders at the current venue ! The search will start soon for a new venue that's smaller and warmer !!!

Thankyou to all our new friends, old friends, our landlord and investors, but like the old saying .. we will be back !

We are not opening again apart from our leaving party on Friday 23rd January where the 'The Jam Factory' will be playing !"

The hours are the usual times, but they are subject to alteration; therefore check their website before visiting.

On Saturdays when breakfast is served, alcohol is served from 12 noon.

Located in a former hangar used by the closed Chiltern Air Sports, the premises has an outdoor feel indoors (a marquee canopy has been erected inside). Food will be available in 2024 once the kitchen is installed.

A stretch marquee has been installed at the front and there are tables on a raised area, also at the front, to the right looking out from the Taproom.

The real ale is gravity dispensed from stillage behind the bar.

To the right as you enter is a shop where you can buy local bottled & canned beers and cider. Also wine, gin, etc.

The South Oxfordshire Brewery intend to be brewing onsite, possibly in 2024.
