Reopened on 21 November 2025 having closed on 26 May 2025 while new tenants were being sought.

The opening and food times updated on 17 December 2025 based on feedback from the pub. The pub is also no longer offering accomodation.

17th-century pub is built in brick and flint and is located in the centre of the village. The adjoining barn has been converted to a restaurant. The original part of the pub comprises three separate areas with low beams a real fire and sofas and benches with plenty of cushions and newspapers to read. The Ridgeway Path passes right by the pub and the Thames is less than 1/2 a mile away.
