Reopened on 21 November 2025 having closed on 26 May 2025 while new tenants were being sought.

The opening times are updated on 27 November 2025 from their Facebook page dated 22 November 2025. Initially no food is served (personal visit on 21 November 2025) and Facebook page post dated 26 November 2025. To be updated in due course.

17th-century pub is built in brick and flint and is located in the centre of the village. The adjoining barn has been converted to a restaurant and four en-suite bedrooms. The original part of the pub comprises three separate areas with low beams a real fire and sofas and benches with plenty of cushions and newspapers to read. The Ridgeway Path passes right by the pub and the Thames is less than 1/2 a mile away.
