Modern, but traditional village pub. There is a large bar and lounge at the front where food is available all day. In the bar is a large well-stocked delicatessen counter selling cheese, bread, meat, pies, cakes, etc. To the rear of the pub is the large Acorn Suite which can be hired for functions. Behind the Acorn Suite is a paved patio and a lawned garden both furnished with picnic tables. There are also a few tables on a patio at the front.

Historic Interest

First licensed in 1810, acquired by Everards in 1901. Rebuilt in about 1970 as the SPANISH BLADE, it reverted to ROYAL OAK in 1981.

The pub is near the historic Kirby Muxloe Castle (English Heritage).
