This Pub is Closed Long Term
Nice Pub on the outskirts of the Town Centre. Cosy and friendly just what a good local should be, shame about the lack of cask beer though.

Historic Interest
In May 1981 this was a Whitbread keg pub, it remained keg only until December 1988 when cask beer was expected and cask Whitbread Trophy appeared in January 1989. The pub was then listed in the Bolton Beer Guide of 1989. By 1992 the cask beers were Tetley Bitter and Boddingtons Bitter according to the Great North Western Beer Festival Programme. By 2010 the pub was owned by Bravo Inns who had bought the pub from the Bold Pub Company. It no longer sold any cask beer. By late 2019 Bravo Inns was effectively taken over by Hawthorn Leisure and subsequently by Admiral Taverns in 2021. It was part of the Proper Pubs branding who claim to be 'Community Obsessed'
