The Riverside Bar is an established venue on the Dumfries real ale scene. Comfortable and friendly, it has seating on two levels and a large conservatory. Three outside seating areas include a terrace with open views over the Dock Park and access to walks both sides of the River Nith. The pub is accessible from the St Michaels area near Robert Burns Mausoleum or from Dock Park. Guest beers are sourced throughout the UK. Flight of 3 thirds available. Parking nearby at Dock Park.

Access from Dock Park or on the other side of the Riverside Bar from St Michaels Street. The access from Dock Park by the River Nith is through park paths from parking 200 metres away. Drop off may be possible near to the pub on the other side of the pub off St Michaels Street. Two sets of steps down to the pub from the St Michael Street side. Four and six steps. One set of steps has a ramp. There are handrails. Set of 13 steps up from Dock Park with handrails. Some uneven steps. The steps are split into 3 short flights. The patio tables are located off these steps. There are two levels in the Riverside Bar. The Dock Park side of the pub is the lower side. There are two steps to the higher (St Michael Street) side where the toilets are located. Toilets are not accessible.
