Recently opened by the team who ran the Dougie in Friars Vennel. Cask ale and lively variety of events. Monthly book club on Tuesday evening. Weekly jam night on Monday.

Historic Interest

Grade B Listed, Historic Environment Scotland reference LB26304. Originally late 18th century & three storeys when it may have been known as the Sun Tavern. It was combined into a single two storey pub in the late 19th century. Photos show it as the 'Queen of the South Bar' in 1948, 'Baker Street' in 2009, 'Wh? Not' in 2014/15, and 'Queen of the South' again in 2018. In early 2020 the lease was up or sale with the signage a 'blank canvas' waiting for another name.
