This comfortable, bright pub stands at the edge of the green (Dicklow Cob) and caters for a mix of local trade, cyclists and walkers and diners. The present building dates from 1899, when the original pub, incorporating farm buildings, was rebuilt as the Red Lion Hotel. It was purchased by Robinsons in 1921 and remains with them to this day, comprising three rooms, the locals' bar, the lounge where meals can be taken, and the dedicated restaurant. Unicorn is always available. The pub is popular for food, particularly at weekends, and the reasonably priced menu features locally sourced products. Breakfast is served in the mornings. There is a very large beer garden and a heated smokers' areas to the front and rear.

There is disabled access to the bars but not to the toilets.
