JAN 2023 Still no real ale - previous handpumps removed.

JUL 2022 - NO REAL ALE at present. Should be introduce it soon? Has been open but work going on at the moment so hours maybe limited.

Jun 2021 - Under new ownership. Some details may have changed.

Dating from the 1800s this former coaching inn stands well back from this small town's main street. Steadily upgraded over the last few years, it boasts a spacious bar with a community noticeboard, huge fireplace with open fire, a pool table and dart board in the far corner. Food is available in both the bar and attractive dining room, including breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. Children's games and menu provided. Handy for the local bus hub and countryside walks.

NOTE: Alcoholic drinks are served from 11am.
