Small, friendly community local (and one of the few remaining) on the main road between Bradford and Thornton. Re-opened in mid-Feb 2022 after many years of closure. There is a lavishly decorated lounge to the front left, a games room with darts board to the front right and a tap room with bar to the rear. It is traditionally decorated, with comfortable seating and photos of old Bradford (and sports related in the games room) adorning the walls. Being a Sam Smiths pub there is no music or television and electronic devices are not allowed to be used inside the pub. In addition, children and dogs are not permitted and there is a no swearing policy. Polite chat and banter is allowed. Payment is by cash only.

When visited in July 2025, it was noted that the hand-pulls had been removed from the rear bar.
