This Pub is Permanently Closed

The original pub opened in 1846, but was later demolished in 1937 to make way for the current building. A traditional village local with a horse racing themed lounge bar. The public bar has a pool table, sky sports and is frequented by pub golf and football teams. A large child friendly garden has play equipment. The long standing landlord has retired after 47 years in July 2013. Greene King sold it to Just Pubs Ltd on 25th April 2014. They got planning permission to demolished the building and build new housing. The pub closed permanently mid May 2015.

A circa 1937 rebuild, an older pub dated back to 1846.
