Traditional, friendly, family-run village pub in the heart of Castle Camps. The pub has escaped the fashion for 'opening out' and still keeps its two bar status (complete with the obligatory wooden beams and wood paneling) and a separate games room. As well as the enclosed rear garden there is a seating area at the front. Greene King IPA and Abbot are regulars ales. The other hand-pump changes. During the day cakes and hot drinks are also available. Occasional local food van visits. Community events include quiz nights, bingo and live music.

The pub came under new ownership in March 2026.
