Busy traditional ale house, bought by Black Country Ales (their 50th pub!) and fully refurbished in 2023, re-opening in August that year.
Internally, there is a comfortable open plan large single room with pillars and a long bar counter on one side. The latter features 12 hand-pumps, usually offering nine beers and three ciders.
Food is usually locally sourced filled cobs, pork pies and sausage rolls. Additionally, there are cheese nights and a monthly curry night on a Thursday - see Facebook for details.
Limited street parking nearby, but a free public car park is a mere 120m distant, off Duke Street.
