Opened March 2001, partly in an existing old office building on the High St and partly in a newly built extension behind, which is in turn attached to a new shopping mall development. The main entrance is at the side and leads through glass doors into a tall, airy, long seating area with cream, yellow and purple décor, pine flooring and furniture, clock, exposed ventilation etc. Steps and a wheelchair lift lead up to the long bar at a ‘mezzanine’ level overlooking the main area. To the left, part of the old building is retained as an eating/no smoking area, with the remainder being used as a kitchen.

The original building is late 17th century and when Grade II listed in 1974 was Norman Reeves Motors.

Historic Interest

Grade II listing:- Late C17 house of 2 storeys now with wide, 2-window front. High pitched tiled roof of M-section. Dark red brick with stone coped parapet. Gauged brick window arches remain although modern windows have been inserted on 1st floor and modern shop fronts on ground floor. Back of house less damaged but largely concealed.
