This Pub is Temporarily Closed

Temporarily closed whilst a new tenant is found by Punch Taverns (20 Dec 2025).

Very old pub dating from the 15th century that serves pub meals, tucked away along the narrow end of High St (turn left at the church).

Cosy inside, with a log burner and an atmospheric mix of old brick walls and ancient timbers. At the back there's a covered terrace, seating and tables. It offers home-cooked meals as well as Sunday lunches. See Facebook for the current menu.
