A traditional 16th Century Coaching Inn in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, under 2 miles from the historic town of Bridgnorth. There are rooms in the Inn, cottages and a touring caravan site and campsite all adjacent to the Inn. Delicious home-cooked locally sourced food can be taken in the restaurant. They specialise in short breaks and activity and sporting holidays.

The opening times and beers served were correct when surveyed (13th Jan 2024). In summer the opening hours and beers served will be enhanced - see website for details.

Historic Interest

First licensed in 1620 and originally known a "The Old Red Lion". A 10 x 8 ft mural dating from the 17th century was exposed in the lounge during building alterations. It is believed to be the largest example found in the country.
