The Elephant and Castle was originally a private house (built about 1650) which was converted into a pub in 1715.
After several years of closure and extensive renovation work, the pub reopened in July 2026. More details when we have them.
Historic Interest
Originally a house (built circa 1650) which was converted into a pub in 1715. In September 2012 it was bought by a London couple, Ian & Sandra, who relocated here & renovated the pub. Sadly the pub closed in September 2017 following the sad & sudden deaths of both Ian & Sandra within a few of weeks of each other.
