Reopened under new management August 2022 after a short closure and some minor refurbishment. A long thin bar with the counter running almost the length of the back wall, it's at ground level but gives the impression of being a basement. Nice stone flag floor, exposed stonework and painted brick with random balustrades, a mix of tables and chairs and low stools. There are a number of discrete little seating areas including a small raised area in the front window. There are several screens and machines in some of the little cubby holes. Four handpulls on the bar serve three local cask ales and a cider. 50p/pint off cask ales on Mondays and Tuesdays.
