The pub is a large L-shaped room with tables throughout, and a bar counter formed from naturally curved planks of solid oak, so take care when putting down your glass! Two ales are usually available, served on gravity from the cellar.

There's a large patio area in front of the pub, with views across fields.

Home-cooked food is available all day (but check exact hours before travelling, they do answer the phone!), using local ingredients, and features a range of pies with imaginative fillings.

A quiz night is held on the third Thursday of the month.
