The Blue Boar is a former coaching inn, first licensed in 1683.

The pub is devided into several areas, with the former stables forming part of the restaurant.

Purchased by Youngs and given a thorough, but sympathetic refurbishment, this pub and dining room has four cask ales, and serves classic British food. It opens at 9am on weekends for breakfast.

The main bar area also has a log burner and casual seating.
