A community micropub opened in 2022 close to the town centre, the pub is renowned for its unfailingly welcoming atmosphere. It offers a wide range of constantly changing cask conditioned ales, many not usually seen in North Devon, plus numerous bottled beers and ciders. With no TV and children not admitted, the bar furniture and decor encourage friendly conversation even among strangers. There are regular acoustic music evenings.
