Located on the Military road, 12 miles West of Newcastle this stone built pub offers good, locally produced beers and food. There is onsite "wild camping" and glamping at reasonable prices as well as twin and double rooms. There is a large restaurant area to the rear of the pub and a more bar oriented area to the front. Handy stop over on the Hadrian's wall path for which it serves as an official checkpoint.
