A former farmhouse in 1718, nearby Hadrian's Wall provided the stone. Converted to coaching inn 1744. Mind ya heed is the greeting on entry to the low beamed bar area. Wooden tables enhance the traditional ambience. The pub has an excellent reputation for good food. Plenty of space and small rooms including comfy area with leather sofas. Superb beer garden with excellent views
