Discovered in October 2015 that this pub was serving real ale which is not commonly found in Shildon. A two roomed pub, the bar is partly carpeted whilst the second room has music playing steadily as well as a pool table and dart board. .

No real ale 2019.

Reopened March 2022 after a closure, still no real ale.
