A cosy pub acknowledged for the quality and quantity of its beers, selling at least four and up to six cask ales. Just of the high street and on what was once one to the Roman fort roads. Dogs are welcome and it is convenient for the railway station and all buses through the town. Quiz night is Tuesday.

The pub now offers third pint paddles, three thirds for the price of a pint
