Originally a Coaching Inn, on the main Sunderland to York turnpike, this extensive pub sits on a prominent corner site with entrances on both the main road and Harland Place. The Red Lion has a bar, a little room with pool table, a beer garden, a snug, a separate jukebox/darts room, and a function lounge, as well as reputably ghosts. Strongly featuring food and music.
