Lively and welcoming terraced pub dating from 1845, it originally brewed its own ales until 1923, with information about its interesting history displayed upon the walls.

The large and comfortable lounge bar is served with three beers.

There's an open mic acoustic night on Tuesdays, quiz on th third Wednesday, and Saturday evening live music in various styles.

Cobs are available all day and to the rear is a pleasant and quiet flower garden.
