Large popular two bar village local with pool table in smaller public bar & sports TV in the larger lounge dining area. There is a memorial at the rear of the pub to four villagers who were killed in an industrial accident in 2011.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal*** on 30 Sep in 1840 states that : Lost from the Cock Inn, Stanton, a red Pointer bitch - bring her to F.R. MAGINIS Esq at the Cock Inn A report in the Ipswich Journal** on Sep-11 in 1858 when Mr Cullum was the landlord states that: A harvest home festival was held on the front lawn of the parsonage. Three long rows of tables were set out & loaded with the most substantial fare provided by Mr Cullum of the Cock Inn, Stanton. The first sitting was for 150 made up of the principal inhabitants & visitors. The second sitting was for 220 labourers & their wives, those ladies & gentlemen who had previously dined assissted with the carving & serving of this sitting. Parts of the building date from the 15th century, with 16th, 17th & 19th century extensions.
