The Macc is a well regarded free house a short walk from central Macclesfield and a 15 minute walk from the rail station. It is owned by the deBechevel group, well known to our friends in Manchester as owning The Knott in Manchester and The Bar in Chorlton. It comprises of two large rooms with the lounge bar split into smaller areas with two real fires. The Macc is a friendly community free house offering three or more beers from Wander Beyond brewery, and up to three varying guests from the country's more innovative brewers, although fewer may be on offer at quieter times of the year there will always be a minimum of three. Bottled beers and artisan key-keg beers from UK micros and further afield are also available. Staff are passionate and knowledgeable about cask beer. It's ideally placed for those of you heading from Macclesfield station to the Moss Rose football ground. There is no car park but there is ample on-street parking down the side on Mill Green. Each Tuesday and sometimes Sunday evenings is acoustic night. Ask at bar for WiFi code.
