This 15th century weather-boarded pub with a beamed interior and two fires has lots of character. It is welcoming to drinkers and diners alike. One regular cask ale and up to four changing cask ales, often from local suppliers. Home-made food is served in the bar weekdays at lunchtimes and evenings, 12-5pm on Sundays. The large garden is the setting for a popular beer festival held over the Spring Bank holiday each May.
