Following a change of ownership in 2014 the Anchor is now run by a local family and has reverted to its previous name, having been known as the Bridge House for a while. There is karaoke every Friday and either live music or discos on Saturdays. There are also occasional events such as ladies' nights or themed fancy dress. Family days and free barbecues are held in the pub garden on Sundays in summer. Pool is also available at only 50p a game and there is also now a dartboard. There are a number of non bottle conditioned beers in addition to draught Guinness and and a range of lagers.
