Retains its name from when it was a David Bruce Firkin Brewpub. A popular, lively pub with live music most Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday evenings. Food offering is limited to pizzas, toasties and sandwiches served evenings plus a Sunday dinner menu. Barn like bare-boarded venue with long bar counter on the right hand side. Has a live music stage half way towards the rear. Eclectic range of seating and tables. Has book exchange shelves. Has a spacious rear garden, including a 1950s railway carriage. Handpumps removed but recently keg beers under the Firkin name have been seen here.

The Firkin Brewery has begun brewing on-site here.
