This Pub is Closed Long Term

Bar has leather sofas, fireplace and a high beamed ceiling. A smaller room off the bar houses a pool table, piano and TV. Separate lounge/restaurant is named after poet John Clare, who was born in the village. Dartboard. Garden with children's play area. The pub has been purchased from Enterprise by the John Clare Trust. Expected to open in June 2015. Now privately owned and due to open soonish (2017).
