Below the castle, one of many varied drinking establishments in the Grassmarket, this pub has a long L-shaped bar with two small mezzanines. Decorated by lots of memorabilia items including items from T&J Bernard, an extinct Edinburgh brewery. Eight TV screens regularly show sport. It can be very lively on Friday and Saturday evenings, with a mainly younger clientele with music provided.

NOTE Alcoholic drinks are served from 11am. During quieter months: Jan, Feb, Mar, Oct & Nov opening hours may be reduced.
