One mile from the ruins of Thornton Abbey, this Grade II-listed village local dates from the 1850s, its rustic charm enhanced by wood panelling, beams, brasses and prints of rural life. A traditional bar menu concentrates on fresh, home-cooked food made with local produce. The garden area includes a children's fun trail. Accommodation is available in six en-suite rooms. A member of the Timothy Taylor Champion Club denoting beer excellence.
