Sole village local dating from 1871. A conservatory has been added and functions as the restaurant although meals may be taken elsewhere. The bar area can be a little restricted when the dartboard is in use. There is a small covered area catering for smokers outside the lounge door where there is a splendid floral display as can be seen from the photograph here. An extensive grassed area is available with plenty of seating. Altogether a nice place to visit. The Chopper ale (4.1%) is brewed by Batemans and is their house beer.
