Two room traditional local on the bank of the Ouse River. There are up to three guest ales, frequently from Dark Horse brewery. There are two bars, the larger with wood panelling, pool table and an open fire in winter. The second smaller bar also features a pool table. Friendly Landlord Tony Milner has owned the pub for over 37 years and kept cask ale throughout, a fact recognised in an award from the local branch of CAMRA. The hotel rooms upstairs are not in use. May close early if quiet.
