Opened Dec 7th 2017 in a converted shop, which had been a newsagents for many years. Four regularly changing ales, mainly from Yorkshire, and often including beers from local brewery Wold Top or Hambleton, and at least three ciders. Always has a gluten free beer available. Acoustic music sessions on Thursdays. The pub can accommodate up to fifty people, it is popular with travelling football & rugby fans en route to matches in Goole, Doncaster, Scunthorpe or Hull. Interesting open brickwork and exposed ceiling beams make for a cosy atmosphere. Just 2 minutes walk from the railway & bus interchange. Winner of Camra pub of the season Summer 2024.
