Situated in the northern part of Wem in an area occasionally referred to as Islington, the Hawkestone is a straightforward local serving its own residential area. Internally there are bar and lounge areas where most of the action takes place. A separate snug is also available but that does not have such regular use. There are TVs in both the bar and lounge areas showing music videos & sport.
