A typically large 1970s estate pub serving the local community. An interior and exterior redecoration in 2010 signalled the transfer of business from Marston’s to Admiral Taverns. The large public bar is well equipped for pub games and a separate lounge is available for TV sports. The chip shop opposite is recommended but closes early.

October 2025 confirmed that no real ale is available.
