OS 1875 map shows it as the Farmers' Arms. it was once a Greenall Whitley outlet. Recently refurbished(June 2025) and now managed by the same team that manages the Globe at Stapeley near Nantwich. Today it has an open plan style lounge which is mainly used for dining and a separate bar where traditional games are available. There is a quiz every other Thursday and occasional events(check website or Facebook for details).
