Reopened on 2nd December 2023 as ""Welles & Cross", previously it was the Ring O' Bells, once a Burtonwood street corner local tied house and up till the pandemic privately owned opening 2 evenings per week.

Completely altered and renovated in 2023, now a smart, comfortable upmarket bar with wood burner at one end. Extra seating is available upstairs. A handpump was installed in April 2024 and it is intended to provide changing golden style beers from local breweries.

It is hoped to offer food from Summer 2024.
