Re-open under new management. Rascality Brewery established on site. Pub serving food and drink 5 days a week - with plans to extend to 7 days in 2023. Beers often include at least one from the pubs own brewery. October 2025 added to the Good Food Guide.

Historic Interest

Historically listed as a Family & Commercial hotel & posting house. A report in the Ipswich Journal*** on 30 Jan in 1828 states that : Francis Fuller, received 14 days imprisonment for stealing a piece of pork from out of the saucepan in the public kitchen at the Troston Bull, the property of Josiah FARROW. A report in the Bury & Norwich Post** on Jul-11 in 1865 when Robert Taylor was the landlord states that: James Catton was charged with stealing 6 gallons of beer from the Bull brewhouse after his wife was seen carrying to buckets of beer to her house. The defence was that Catton new nothing of the theft & was a man of gallantry & would have carried the two pails of beer instead of his wife. The jury aquitted the prisoner.
