Historic Interest

In May 1981 it was a Greenall Whitley Keg pub, but had started selling Cask Greenall Whitley Mild and Bitter (E) by June 1985. In January 1988 along with other Greenall Whitley Cask outlets using Metron Electric Pumps a false Handpump was being introduced to trigger the electric pump. In July 1988 a pub crawl started here. It was included in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Greenall Whitley Mild and Bitter (electric handpump) Boarded up around 2004/5.
