Located on the A5 south of Dunstable it was rebranded by Whitbreads as a Table Table Restaurant & Bar in June 2007. Always one real ale available, sometimes a second one. This large property is bright and airy with many secluded dining sections. An extensive family oriented menu where steaks & grills are a speciality - seating for 140 guests. Accommodation available in nearby Premier Inn and breakfasts start from 7am also open to non-residents. Small business or private events are catered for.

The Charter Market Quarter has many historical links. One of the only free-standing medieval civic clock towers, the site of the First Battle of St. Albans in 1455, during the Wars of the Roses. Allegedly the Boot Inn played host to soldiers fighting in the battle. There used to be 23 pubs around the Market area!
