Small, cosy bar in large hotel on the western outskirts of the village. As one would expect in this area, whisky is featured prominently on two shelves as you enter the bar and also a shelf above the bar itself - a total of over 150 malts The unusual bar top is adorned with a collection of fishing flies topped by glass. Beer is likely to be from Cairngorm or Deeside breweries. On a visit in 2010, a half pint was £1.65 and, peculiarly, a full pint £3.85 - you do the maths! If on foot, a path leading through the grounds to the A95 saves a roundabout trip if strolling to the village. 19 letting rooms provide accommodation.
