Ale Trail Walk:
A two leg walk over the South Downs from Lewes to Seaford visiting a few pubs along the way. Join us for one or both legs. This is a free walk provided by your local CAMRA branch.
The first leg: Meet at 11am in the Gardeners Arms in Lewes (BN7 2AN). We’ll walk to Glynde passing over Mount Caburn. This walk includes two challenging hills before a decent to the Steamworks (Glynde) then moving on for lunch at the Trevor Arms. This walk is approx. three miles long.
The Second Leg: Meet at 2pm in the Trevor Arms in Glynde (BN8 6SS). We’ll walk to the Ram Inn in Firle before a challenging ascent to the South Downs Way. It’s then a walk atop of the South Downs followed by a slow descent to the Steamworks (Seaford). This walk is approx. eight miles long.
You do not need to book a place for the walk, but if you'd like attend please email contact@brighton.camra.org.uk so we can anticipate the number of walkers.
Morning Walk - Lewes to Glynde (11:00 to 13:30)
Afternoon Walk - Glynde to Seaford (14:00 to 18:00)
